Description

I'm often inspired by animals in my work, and this piece was no exception. The outer shape and tendrils were initially influenced by deep sea creatures. I'm often asked "is it a squid? An octopus? A fish? Something else entirely?". Yes. More than any of my other artworks, this piece has the most people guessing, making for a great conversation piece.

It comes ready to hangs in four different orientations to fit your preference. The rich blues and subtle violet coloring contrasted with stark white make this art piece pop against any wall. 

Each piece I create is given an exceptional level of care and attention to detail. The product is made from high-grade Baltic birch plywood and bonded together using a wood glue that bonds stronger than the wood itself. The layers are carefully stained by hand rather than painted in order to highlight the natural wood grain. Each piece is finished with a clear polyacrylic topcoat that provides a professional satin finish and protects the wood. Each unit has an engraved signature, date, and unit number.

This product is made from natural wood. While the quality of each piece will be the same, please keep in mind that the wood grain is unpredictable and will vary with each unit, which will have some effect on the visual texture and coloring of the wood.
